DAY 1

3/30/11
Its BEAUTIFUL here at Walker Lake. The sun is setting and the clouds are orange. Theres no water so we have to wait for tomorrow to get some water but we can survive for today. Today was existing and beautiful. When we entered Reno, it was about 70 F but it felt HOT HOT HOT [MH]. We left home early and drove south of Shasta Mountain so we could get over the mountains without driving on snowy roads.  There was 20 feet of snow on the side of the road because it had been snowing so much!  It was beautiful. When we got to Reno we had to stop at a Dodge dealership, because a gadget blew and we were losing the power....Big Red, the Sprinter van, would only go up hills REALLY slowly.  Good thing it happend just outside of Reno.  We ended up having to spend 3 hours there, so we didn't make it down to Las Vegas, but ended up spending a beautiful night at Walker Lake. We are going to the four corners area to learn about the Ancient Pueblo people.{ZH}

  3. Hi Myles and Zoe,
    You may not remember us well, but we had a pirate ship in the back yard and you played with us sometimes in Vegas. We live in Germany right now, but we'll be going back to the states in about 3 weeks. We will also be traveling around the states and maybe we can meet up somewhere. We will also go to the Four Corners this summer but probably later in May. Keep us posted and we'll see where we all are.
    Your friends, Tanner and Sage...and little Lagan who you have not met.
